Simplicity Sells

Complexity repels.

It’s the simple little things that take care of the big things. Like the old saying goes: Take care of the cent & the dollar will take care of itself. In like token, when it comes to selling, it is the simplicity of presentation that sells. As we say in sales “Keep it Simple” – the KISS formula. Complexity has the tendency to repel.

This unparalleled global financial crisis has brought about enough suffering & pain. In the wake of it, we need to be prudent to avoid monetary pitfalls & credit traps. Be aware & warned:

  • of the sordid financial history of the Americans.

  • shoddy practices of credit card companies, lacking in interest rate caps, hidden fees & invisible small fine prints.

  • overextending debts out of all proportions in borrowings over income.

  • when banks & financial institutions plainly offering loans to unqualified customers. Greed has no compassion.

  • establishments offering “buy now pay later” schemes. Such luring credit trap is easy to fall for!

  • don’t be flashing around with a string of credit cards . . . one good one is more than adequate for all purposes & needs, if properly managed.

In any monetary transaction, there’s always the question of repayment & having the ability to service the loan. Spend like hell & living like crazy is no way to go. It is not as though the sun will always shine brightly, we need to set aside for the rainy days. The banks are fond of providing you with the umbrella with the umbrella when it’s sunny outside, but forcefully withdrawing any shelter when the rain comes!

One simple formula that works for me is to heed about living within the budget. Living frugally rather than extravagantly is the golden rule. If your salary or income is moderate or irregular as most commissioned agents are, this wonderful simple budget tip will go a long way:

  1. 10% Pay yourself. Money reserved for savings, exigency &

retirement. If left untouched can build up enormously!

  2. 20% Pay others, debts & creditors.

  3. 70% Daily spending expenses.

It is ironic that throughout our working life, we pay others for this & that, but never paying our own selves. Think about it! This indispensable “money machine” can break down needing attention & repair – but often neglected or ignored.

To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Don’t ever think of being a ”James Bond” in Royale Casino . . . for a fool & his fortune will soon part. Windfalls through winning the Lotto or Lottery are just dreams of fancy. It’s just another form of gambling! You’d never win.

Be frugal. Don’t be extravagant.

Think necessities observe priorities.

Reduce debts, take away the stress

Budget well your cash for peace & rest.

China – Global Power Engine

China – Global Power Engine

bridge

The Great Bridge  over Huangpu River, Shanghai

We are witnessing a changing world unprecedented in the history

of mankind. Everything is so extraordinary, booming & busting, transforming without any apparent transition the global, economical,

social & political landscape. China, for so long been humiliated & set in the backwaters, is now rearing its head & standing tall & strong. It’s striving for a peaceful & harmonious world both within its boundaries and without.

The world at large, particularly the US, has been watching closely this emerging Dragon ever since the handover of Hong Kong to China in 1997, Macau in 1999. With the aim of eventual unification of Taiwan, which historically has always been a Province of China, China has come of age in many fields of human endeavor. Its entry to the World Trade Organization in 2001, its staging of the Olympics in 2008, its double-digit economic growth and its quantum leap from a country with virtually no phone to mobile phone – all spell awe and wonder for the outside world. Whereas in the past it takes several generations before any change occurred; now a single generation can witness the most remarkable change and progress.

“To grow, to progress is to change” is the axiom of life and all inhibitions to change must be out of the way. Lee Kuan Yew, the architect of modern Singapore, demonstrated this principle very clearly. To him all sentiment must give way to progress. China has learnt its lessons of the past with its virtual “kow tow” to all the foreign power. A period of long humiliation is now opening to a spectacular era of jubilation.

China has always been a great country, not only by virtue of its geographical size and its teeming population of 1.3 billion, but significantly more so because of its rich culture and tradition and its unbroken ancient civilization. The Greeks, the Romans, the Egyptians and others have all come and gone, but China has persisted since time immemorial. China has always been self-reliant and contributed many inventions, which ironically, while benefiting the West, had led to its own downfall, over 150 years ago, when the West bombarded China with their superior weapons of gunpowder and armory, diplomatic superficiality and “opium”.

A country’s strength is built upon its natural resources. The greatest of which is the human resources. Chinese has always been known as the most assiduous people in the world in their pursuit of economic survival – this trait of character is now leading the way to economic achievement, technological advancement, and political surge on the world stage and excellence in any conceivable field of human endeavor. Today Chinese stand tall and proud with towering buildings in the cloud.

Now “Enter the Dragon . . .” and its past humiliation is over, though its vindication may be a long drawn process. All Chinese must stand tall and proud. The most important aspect of the Chinese Civilization is that it is based largely and purely on positively non-materialism. Its inwardness outlook had succumbed to the greater negative force of greed and covetousness. China was extremely proud and supreme and had no desire to want to trade with the West when the West persistently pursued its economic course and attempted to gain foothold on Chinese soil. Opium trade was the most devious means devised by the British, the world’s greatest drug peddler, to humiliate and caused China to part with Hong Kong and Territories. China lost Macau to the Portuguese by the same token.

Yan Xuetong, a foreign affairs specialist at Qinghua University in Beijing, argued in a scholarly journal the summer of 2006 that China had already surpassed Japan, Russia, Britain, France, Germany and India in measures of its economic, military and political power. That leaves it second only to the United States, he said.

Personally, I dare say the Chinese thinking and philosophy are very different from the West. The Chinese must be doing right to have persisted through the test of time without external influence or help. A materialistic form of civilization soon perishes, overcome by greed and insatiable wants. Perhaps, it’s timely to throw in a word of caution, lest the Chinese also succumb to the same folly.

When Deng Xiaoping, the architect of modern China, first conceived of his famous visionary saying, “Xiang Qian Zou” (Forward Move/The Road To Riches), China has been in a frenzy. This frenzy is now a fantasy for all the world to see! China’s 5,000-year-old tradition of diligence, thrift and simplicity, of silk and cotton clothing, of Chinese tea, art and music, of filial piety, respect and devotion remain intact, withstanding the test of time. Now a much more spectacular and unbelievable phase of human achievement is happening. The emergence of China in the technology and military dimension has to be measured alongside with its emergence as a global economic power.

Of the nations in the world today, China stands out progressively tall and strong. It is as though a sleeping dragon is finally awakened. This appears to be the fear of the West. Though an economically strong China is good commercially for all the trading nations in the West, politically China poses a great threat. It is feared that “once China stands up, it won’t topple or be toppled.” That was why precisely Napoleon in his wisdom decided to let China be and not to rouse her.

Nationally, globally, and internationally – “Quo Vadis”! Who wants to play “Monopoly” The fear of the West is the gear of the East.? Geographically, the sun always set in the West, but it rises in the East always.

“Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

– Matthew 10:39

Human beings have a tendency to go through life accumulating things. Often enough we find those possessions not entirely needed or used. As a matter of fact, we become possessed by the possessions we possess. This may sound ridiculous but the fact holds true when we look at them perspectively. We are worried and constantly plagued by the fear if things get lost, damaged, or stolen; insurance, security and a host of others. In a word, we are not free of our possessions. Remember the time when we care for the precious car more than our wife and family.

Sometime or other, we are each a victim of burglary or theft, and house break-in. The fear of safety and security with our house keeps us from the peace of mind when going on vacation. Even our pet and garden present themselves as hindrances from going away on holidays. Can we ever enjoy life free from worries and care?

It is by the grace of God that things come to our possession. We are at best custodians or stewards. We come into this world naked and empty-handed, and when we finally leave it all possessions are left behind. We can’t take them with us, be it money or things. In 1 Peter 4:10, it is advocated that: “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”

As with things, so it is with our lives. But when we surrender ourselves to God together with our possessions, He would then bless us back manifold in return. To gain life we must first lose it along with our possessions. Place all trust and faith in Him. Let Him be the worrier and rid us of all fears and worries.

God wants to bless us abundantly. But we must let Him do it in His way and not our way. Until and unless we understand this principle, life will always be one of futility and vanity.

You need to stretch out your hands & unclench your fists before you can receive.

Contentment

CONTENTMENT

mime-attachment

But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that” – 1 Timothy 6:8, NIV

In this much troubled financial world of avarice greed & excessiveness, it’s well worth pondering over this basic human issue of contentment. What does it mean & what does it take?

A story is told of a king who was discontented. In fact he was so anxious, he couldn’t sleep, rest, or think. He called in his wise men and asked them what he could do. One very old and very wise man said, “Find a man in your kingdom who is content, then wear his shirt for a day and a night, and you will be content.”

That sounded like a good idea to the king, so he ordered some of his servants to search for such a person. Days blended into weeks before his servants returned. “Well,” said the king, “did you find a contented man?” “Yes, sire,” his servants replied. “Where is his shirt?” asked the king.

“Your Majesty, he didn’t have one.”

The syndrome of being possessed by your possessions rings more true than you care to admit. Do you think that a new car or a new stereo or new clothes or any other material thing will bring you contentment? Just think about it – even King Solomon, remembered traditionally as the greatest King of Israel, with all the worldly possessions, 700 wives and 300 concubines, found life as one of vanity and futility.

It’s said that the best things in life are free – a flower, a bird, streams, waterfall, a natural pool, fresh air and sunshine. In fact, all these things are God’s gifts to all of us, which quite often are taken for granted and not appreciated. Living a simple and contented life is easy, but it’s the complicated world that we live in that makes demands hard to cope. Be happy and content for what life has to offer. Forsake your wants so far as your needs are met with, for the list of wants is never ending and can never be satisfied.

Put your faith, hope and love upon Jesus. Turn to Him. As Proverbs 20:24 puts it: “A man’s steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand his own way?” One of the most beautiful choruses sung in churches is:

Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Look full in His wonderful face

And the things of earth

Will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace.”

Comparison Unlimited

Comparison Unlimited

head1head2

Bill Gates has been the world’s richest man. Any other billionaire would be poor by comparison. The scale of comparison is unlimited, and is no basis to gauge the wealth of a person. By the same token, it is grossly unfair to measure the intelligence of a person in his own field of specialization with another in a different order. In layman’s terms, how can you compare an orange with an apple?

head3

Rich or poor is relative. Nobody can live the same lifestyle like Bill Gates. no matter whether in the millionaire or billionaire category. By Bill Gates’ standard, a farmer living in the rural sector may be considered poor. But by his own standard, though lacking the modern amenities, he’s self-sufficient, contented and happy. Wealth can be in the form of the intangibles – contentment, happiness, fulfillment, peace and harmony. It is said the best things in life are free, and free from worry and care.

In this modern age, we tend to measure success in terms of wealth. What then is success? By definition, I would say that success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal. The basis of measurement in terms of money is unsatisfactory as the degree or scale of comparison has limitless end. Our late Kerry Packer could not match up with the Microsoft giant. On his own in Australia, he was the richest man. The Chinese has a saying about comparing the loftiness of mountains.

To the musician his worthy ideal would mean having the honour of performing in Carnegie Hall to a great audience. A scientist’s success could mean the attainment of a Nobel Prize. An athlete’s thrill lies in his achieving Olympic Gold medals. These three categories of men are all successful in their own rights, though not so much in monetary terms.

There is a pyramid of hierarchy towards which men aspire. However, like climbing Mt. Everest, there’s no end in the fields of human endeavour. Realistically, not all can achieve such great heights. The fundamental rule in human living is to live as best as you could according to your” needs”. When it comes to” wants” there can be no end! Can you be happy with a million or a billion?

Karaoke Extravaganza

IMGA Galaxy of Stars

Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.” – Psalm 96:1

My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.” – Psalm 63:5

( The word “Psalms” come from the Septuagint which is the Greek translation of the Old Testament where it originally referred to the stringed instrument like the harp, lyre and lute and then to songs sung with their accompaniment.)

Biblically, the word “sing” occurs some 32 times, most frequently being in the Psalms. For the romantics, you are probably more familiar with this saying “if music be the food of love play on.” It ‘s been said too that a merry heart is good medicine for the soul. No doubt, music has a way of melting even the most savaged hearts and changing lives. Therefore, sing and be happy!

Karaoke is a Japanese tradition, which has come to capture the minds and hearts of men all over the world. The Japanese word “Karaoke” literally means “empty orchestra”. The pastime has become so popular that it is listed in the latest editions of both Japanese and English dictionaries.

China is a singing nation. You’ll only have to watch CCTV on satellite TV to astound yourself with the galore of singing stars, both amateur & professional, young & old, vying to be heard. Just about everyone sings! From the pure basic home entertainment, bars & the stage, singing range from the traditional folk or classic, modern tunes, pop & rock to the very classic of Eastern & Western opera. Whenever & wherever festivals reign, singing grips the mind & hearts of people without restrain!

Karaoke is the ultimate “family friendly” form of entertainment. No doubt it is prevalent in bars and taverns and restaurants, especially some Chinese restaurants. Anyone can sing along to karaoke. A wide range of songs and music are available with lyrics and tempo indication to guide you along. Karaoke is always good for a laugh if you are plain amateurish. Some Karaoke singers are really “professional” and as with a few doctors and dentists known to me, they not only sway your hearts and minds but also provide you with something that no medicine can buy!

Often home parties are lavished with delicious home cooked foods and the rotation of hosting such parties, eagerly awaited for, is unending and more frequent than your social calendar can hold. With good food, good fellowship and good entertainment, what better alternative is there? The very serious enthusiasts go for voice training and professional coaching. We are never short of talents comparable to such singing greats as Teresa Teng, Anita Mui or Elton John and Elvis. For the more conservatives, Pat Boone, Nat King Cole, Perry Como, Tom Jones, Cliff Richard and others are among the favourites. Some home groups like to sing Mandarin or Cantonese songs while others are more inclined to sing in English. Tribute must also be given to the Filipinos, the Burmese and Karens and Indonesians, for they’re known traditionally to be more singing oriented.

IMG_0001Truly Professional Stars

With the affordability and availability of DVD players, karaoke has come a long way from Japan’s Kobe City some 20 years ago . . . from long playing tapes, cassette tapes, big laser discs, VCDs to DVDs. Who knows what the future has in store with the rate of technological advances and computerisation.

Karaoke is good clean fun – an enjoyable form of cheap entertainment. It is an excellent way of bringing people together and keeping families together. Get goofy and sing off-key! Who cares! But just don’t “expire” and be interred with your bones with the best music waiting to be sung! You may yet be a singing great waiting to be head hunted by talent scouts from Hollywoods!

My only lament is that there is a lack of good Christian Karaoke VCDs or DVDs. Churchgoers sing in churches and when at home singing stops. You should have no fear or qualm singing to the LORD, for He loves you singing praises unto Him, just like King David did. Yes, sing to the LORD with a new song!

Good Personal Relationship in Marriages

Good Personal Relationship in Marriages

W020080215323536711575A Traditional Chinese Wedding

In this modern era of health consciousness, we talk of

good Cholesterol & bad Cholesterol, vitamin C & others.

In marriages, it helps to look into the “Cs” for good personal relationship.

Apart from the few Cs as mentioned above, what other Cs come to your mind that you might consider as important? Of course, we all need the great C as in Cash for our daily survival or to live in comfort & luxury. But that’s not the be all & end all of things. You’ll find that the richest of men are not necessarily the happiest. They are more than likely to have problems of greater magnitude than the less fortunate.

I believe Singapore girls, when selecting a partner or contemplating marriage, purportedly take into consideration these Five Cs – Cash, Condominium, Car, Career and Character. Modern Singapore is so full of slogans, and more recently I heard that the Five Cs have given way to Five Bs – Bachelor, Bank Account, Boss, BMW and Bungalow. The order of priorities varies from individual to individual. Whatever they are, it’s essentially confined to materialism or tangible assets. Love and marriage is traded like in the stock market or the choice is likened to the auction where the highest bidder merits the prize.

Going by the above there’s no basis for a long and enduring partnership in marriage. Physical attraction and materialistic assets soon fade with the passing years. The bond of love breaks loose from its weakest link and the link of Five Cs or Five Bs is not strong to begin with. Fragile link leads to fragile relationship. Human relationship is without a shadow of doubt the most fragile, in that it is complicated by emotion. A house that is not built upon strong foundation soon collapses. The fire of love cannot burn indefinitely or brightly without the right fuel of marriage.

They say that love makes the world go round. Spinning round and round makes you dizzy with headache setting in as you sail through rough waters. Material things can dwindle with time or disappear through misfortune or poor management. The meaning of things take on a different perspective too with the passage of time. For an enduring and lasting partnership, it calls for the right ingredients which are not provided for by the Five Cs or Five Bs. The greatest test of true love is through the test of time – what endures and what not.

The marriage vows spell out “for better or for worse”. Sadly enough, the latter means absolutely nothing. It’s all a question of money. Oftentimes, money problem breeds marriage problems. Many seemingly good marriages have collapsed under the weight of financial struggle. One wonders the whereabouts of love, fresh air and sunshine and all those rosy promises of getting the moon and the stars and dying for each other. Evidently, all the heartaches are spelt out in the court of law or the mediator’s office in terms of property settlement. All other considerations are thrown out of the window.

The bond of love is only secured through the commitment of one for the other through all kinds of weather, rain or shine, stormy or calm. Commitment will take care of the Five Cs or Five Bs. It seals the question of security, love, faith and hope – all vital ingredients that will withstand the test of time. Commitment takes care of the doom and gloom, war and peace, rain or shine, giving or taking, and unimaginable human problems. No more talk of complaints, criticism, or condemnation – all the negative ‘Cs’. Suffice to mention one good positive ”C” says it all for peace and harmony for always!

There are others, which you can ponder & discuss, such as being civil, content, considerate, comforting, consoling & compromising. To command & control will have to take back stage to avoid falling off the edge.

Try communicating & cooperating with each other

to chase all the blues away.

The picture of the divorce court is often one of ugliness

& the divorce lawyer is often portrayed in the middle

happily “milking the cow” with the husband & wife

pulling in opposing directions.

Say “Cheese” to bring on that smile for always!

Dawn Princess Cruise

Sydney-New Zealand

(5 – 18 December 2008)

(By Paul Chong)

Dawn princess berthed at Port Chalmers, Dundedin, New Zealand

Dawn-PrincessThe magnificent Dawn Princess

Cruising down the river

On a Sunday afternoon

With the one you love

The birds above

Waiting for the moon

The old accordion playing

A sentimental tune

Cruising down the river

On a Sunday afternoon.”

Not sure how many can remember the old pop song “Cruising Down The River” of the early 50s. This hit tune crops to my mind when talking of cruise. My mind conjures also the romantic cruise on the Seine in Paris, which provides one of the most relaxing & expedient ways to view the sights of Paris in all their grandeur in the glass-covered decks of the Bateaux-Mouches. The European Rivers such as Rhine, Danube are also worth noting.

I guess the TV series of “Love Boat” promoted the greatest thrill & advertisement re cruises on the high seas, with romance filling the air. After a couple of traumatic experiences of rough crossings in the English Channel, I was going to give cruising an entire miss until persuaded to try the Star Cruise on the Virgo from Singapore to Phuket in Thailand, with a stopover in Langkawi Island, Malaysia. No more sea-sickness was encountered then, and the four-day cruise was very delightful indeed.

SANY1297Monica – Our main waitress

A Princess cruise holiday is a dream holiday. You are pampered & given royalty treatment from room services to dinning in style. Some people do plan their dreams & romances by going on cruises. Some are habitually living on these love boats. Because of time & space, there is little to distinguish dream from reality. They say that dreams do come true, but then dreams fade and whatever reality there is remains only in your memory. Just when you are having such a good time, the end comes sooner than desired. Then you wonder was it all a dream? If you are young or young at heart, modern cruises are really adventurous, romantic & escaping into the world of fantasy, similar to the popular TV series “Love Boat”.

In planning for a perfect holiday, there are no shortage of exotic places to lure you. Travel brochures are full of glorifying descriptions of holiday escapes – compelling destinations like the new artificial Beach Resort in Japan, the new “Skywalk” at the Grand Canyon, play a game of tennis atop the the ultra modern 6-Star Dubai hotel, or the “themepark” at Las Vegas with all its thrills & spills. Or come 2010, the Resort World of Sentosa, Singapore will provide a kind of new excitement & experience.Whatever you are after, they range from the boring normal escorted tours to the extreme adventurous.

S001smOur cruise itinerary

To me, to really enjoy yourself, you must have the luxury of time & leisure. Tight schedules & rush always spoil many a holiday for most people. For this reason, the fully escorted land tours are out, where you are trying to cover sight-seeing & shopping all within a limited time scale. I guess I’ll be tired out each day and at the end of it all finished up with nothing but glimpses of the tour.

SANY1538Casual Self-Service (24-Hour) – The Horizon Court

Cruising is increasingly popular. There were over 2,000 passengers. It affords escapism, high sea adventures, thrills & spills, the luxury of time & leisure, aboard ship galore of activities & first class entertainment. You can have breakfast, lunch & dinner – all served with the finesse of well-attired waiters & waitresses. Be served as lady & lord in fine dining, lunch & breakfast too.

But if you are one of those who care more for your extra snooze, just stay in bed & have the meals delivered to your stateroom, or you can have access to the convenience of 24-hour food service at the Horizon Court. Here there is no shortage of choice & variety, also fruits & other desserts. If you love eating, you can eat as much as you want – you just help yourself.

SANY0042 Dawn Princess docked in Auckland Harbour, within walking distance to the City centre.

There is however one down side to cruises. The land content tours or shore excursions are not inclusive, even shutter buses from the docks to the city centres are charged. Usually the ship will dock in the morning & sail away again by six in the evening. Too rush for a satisfying sight-seeing & you are confronted with a variety of tours & pretty pricey too.

No holiday can be perfect or completely satisfying. I guess the important thing is that you’ll be able to say “Been there, done that.” It will be an experience well worth savoured.

The sheer pleasure of seeing the magnificent fjords of New Zealand in all their awesome wonder alone makes the cruise worthwhile. Though when sailing through the fjords region that day it was raining & cloudy, we get to see hundreds & thousands more cascading waters down their edges. Herein below are some beautiful photos by Google:

Bridge Over Troubled Waters

Bridge Over Troubled Waters

bbridgeap8

“Praise the LORD, O my soul;

all my inmost being,

praise his holy name.

Praise the LORD, O my soul,

And forget not all his benefits –

who forgives all your sins

and heals all your diseases,

who redeems your life from the pit

and crowns you with love and compassion,

who satisfies your desires with good things

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.”

(Psalm 103: Verses 1-5)

In this beautiful Psalm, there are seven meaningful verbs,

well chosen to instil a process of hope and positiveness . . . forgets, forgives,

heals, redeems, crowns, satisfies, and renewed.

When hurts roar, let your hope soar.

Your heart might be breaking,

A million pieces shattering.

Feeling’s such a delicate thing

It’s hard even with gentle mending.

A process and period of grieving

Is essential for healing.

The heart may grieve for all eternity,

That’s when understanding can lift it but not pity.

Troubled waters roar with great muddy swells.

Bridging it requires skill to break the spell.

For despair and despondency creep,

Even while you sleep.

Your whole being becomes so engrossed,

Nothing stimulates, enthusiasm’s lost.

A soothing word, a gentle hand

A listening heart and patience spent

Will calm the roar in the end.

To forgive is divine

To forget exceptionally fine.

Christ heals to redeem

Crowns and satisfies to extreme

Renewed spirit sets to spring.

Flashing Feminine Wares For Masculine Stare & Dare!

Playfully & jokingly, I circulated an email from my desktop

entitled “Dare To Be Bare!”and the general response was

one of modesty.

Is modesty on the wane & nudity on the gain?

Are women in general getting more sane

It is inconceivable to know that French women are beginning to feel disdain for nudity, not when going by its long established tradition. In fact, when President Nicholas Sarkozy of France discarded his old wife to marry Carla Bruni, a former nude model, it made headlines. Proudly, the French were measuring her up & comparing her to Jacqueline Kennedy . . . proclaiming their own “exquisite” First Lady!

carla-bruni-nude-pictures-stolen-61

Carla Bruni – First Lady of France

Recently in July 2009 however, according to a TIME report, younger French women are no longer tolerating total nudity in beaches or naturist camps. The survey indicated the following findings:

  • 90% got naked with their husbands or partners

  • 59% avoided being naked around their children

  • 63% refused to undress around their female friends

  • 22% considered nudity as being even in their underwear

Imagine such sensitivities & strong opinions about public nakedness among the French.

Young American women are still only too happy to flash their wares in exchange for men’s stare & dare. Their northern neighbourly Canadians also have no disdain whatsoever over the nudity question. Toplessness or Topfreedom is legal in Canada. It is allowable & acceptable – so if you like to expose, every beach is topless.

In Australia, a land famous for sun, sea & surf all round the year, topless sunbathing on Sydney beaches is tolerated. Even Perth boasts of its own nude or naturist beach in Swanbourne with its impressive white sand & pristine Indian Ocean. It is located with its northern border next to the Australian Army SAS Base. I am told it’s definitely one of the top nude beaches found anywhere in the world! It’s open to public, unless the Army’s live firing exercises are being held.

4-2300.jpgBodyart

Since China’s coming of age on the world stage, its social & cultural life is on the wane. There appear to be no restraint & morality in several areas may make you faint. Physical exposition by young pretty Chinese demure females take on the challenge beyond self-gratification. They have been exploited by commercialisation in arena of sales & marketing and art exhibitions.

Sex sells. It’s “sexiting” over the modern world of human landscape.

What of shame or human decency?

Dare to bare for men’s stare or dare?

Have you heard of a Chinese artist painting his

naked model daughter as an oriental goddess?

ATT00002The Roskilde Festival in Denmark

Gosh! Men are also fronting their wares, though fewer than their counterparts, in this annual run at Roskilde Festival in Denmark, originally conceived for the development & support of music, culture & humanism. But what has nudity to do with them? Its popularity is attracting an international crowd.

Are we forgetting the question of human rights & pornography here?
