Grieving is universal. It doesn’t differentiate between colour, race or creed. There’re no boundaries between classes of economic status. Grieving is essential for the soul, mind & body. However, how does one grieve?

Personally, there’s no set form for grief. People grieve for relief, solace, or sadness & there’s no right or wrong way in expressing it. According to sociologists at various universities opinion can differ from one to the other.

There should however be stages of grief. First comes the acceptance to be expected out of this natural phenomenon. This is followed by the healing process and then there has to be the moving-on process. You can’t keep on grieving for the rest of your natural life. For the living, life goes on and so must you.

When a person passed on, it’s not not just a digital statistic, he or she is someone’s grandparent, father or mother, husband or wife, uncle or aunty and so on. The deceased is many persons in one . . . dear to someone. For the widow or widower, it could mean moving on in finding new partner. To love again? Why not?

What about attendance at funeral? Your presence of course is a question of honour & due respect for the departed. But some people can’t bear being at funeral. So long some representation of kind or person is being arranged, it’s the heart within that really counts. There are in fact hypocrites who wail and cry aloud at funeral, but to what end and purpose?

Modern technology has replaced or substitute for cases who simply cannot make it for the funeral because of distances & circumstances. Out of town or country mourners keep vigil & pay respect via electronic media where video clips or slide shows are available for viewing. This is the burgeoning trend that allowed people to share memories & eulogies.

Video or slide show tributes chronicling the deceased’s past are shown during visitations and memorial services are being held at funeral parlours. The trend is towards celebrating the life of the dear departed.

As a matter of fact, we cry from the cradle to the grave. The day we were born, we uttered our first cry . . . then we were crying for this & that . . . and sooner or later, we cry for others or others cry for us! What a life of crying! It’s crying to no end. We celebrate our birth. We celebrate our marriage. Why not we celebrate or let others celebrate our good life?

In the presentation of the eulogy, the speaker may well moderate emotion enough to focus on the joyous & good experiences of the dear departed with a clear mind.

Healing process comes through looking back on the past experiences & reminisces & sharing the joy rather than the sadness among relatives & friends. It is not to say that it’s unnatural to feel pain & the sense of loss.

At funerals & hereafter, in observing devotion & dedication, there are these actions to consider:

To take a look at one’s own life

A time for reflection

A time for resolution

A time to act

That life is a journey not a destination

Try to make it as interesting & loving for self & others!

Greed: That Evil Five-Letter Word

World Food Programme unloads humanitarian aid ...

By P Chong                                                                                             Thurs. 21 Oct. 2010

The world celebrated World Food Day on October 15 with the shocking news that around one thousand million or a billion people won’t have enough to eat. There would be nothing to place on the table for the hundreds of millions of poor children around the world . . . simply because greed, that evil five-letter word, works against their favour.

Last weekend, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon stated over the satellite TV that “the world’s food system are not working in ways which ensure food security for the most vulnerable members of our societies.” It all boil down to just one thing that “Money is not the root of all evils, but GREED is”. Money is necessary in this capitalistic world for living & surviving. Greed however works counterwise & affect the most vulnerable sections of our societies. Being poor is one thing, but to be further deprived of the very little in existence is humanly cruel!

Future prospects of the global situation are further aggravated by the climate change across vast swathes of the developing world where two billion people depend on their smallholding farms. The global outlook is nothing but bleak!

Nature can also be cruel to add on to the worsening situations such as the earthquakes in Haiti, the floods in Pakistan and the drought in Sahel.

Malnutrition, freedom from from hunger are not apparent to the eyes of Greed, which in fact further exploit the situation. It is a cruel world to be living in. The “haves” are having in excess, the poor simply look on with pity & pain of living hell.

The rich nations do very little by way of reaching & helping out. The works of UNO are but window dressing acts & barely scratch the humanity surface. Pictures of the deprived & malnutrition are graphic indeed and speak louder than ten thousand words. Where is real help coming from? Manna from Heaven?Globalisation, the concept propagated by the rich nations, supposedly designed to help out less fortunate nations, is contrarily working against them. In the words of World Food Programme Executive Director Josette Sheeran that hundreds of millions of children will live unfulfilled lives “simply because they have had no access to nutritious foods.” What’s wrong with the UNO food distribution? Corruption? Bad policies? Poor administration or what?

In a word, nothing can work where GREED exists. Capitalism & globalisation work well for the rich, with the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. With land speculation, even the very basic factor for growing more food is drawn towards other more enterprising & profitable ends.

Greed, that evil five-letter word

is the unwanted word!

Malnutrition & hunger-related diseases cause 60% of the world’s death.

The Federal Reserve System: The Secrets You Don’t Know About!

By P Chong                                            Tues. 19 Oct. 2010

Hey! You might think this to be a very dull & boring subject. They say that what you don’t know won’t kill you, but I’m afraid the reverse is true in this little known subject. The fact is that only a very minority know that the Federal Reserve System is not federal, it has no reserve, and it’s not even a bank. It’s really fascinating how intricate and involved it is and how crucial the Federal Reserve and the creation of money is to the people who run not only this country, but the world.

It’s a mystery story of what the Big Seven financial families, as mentioned in my previous post (Who Really Own The Federal Reserve? Mon. 4 Oct.2010) have done with our monetary system. Griffin for self edification has largely promoted this through his writings, speeches & television documentaries, which can be found on YouTube. Of late, he’s been going around warning: “Gee everybody, don’t you see what’s going on? Don’t you care about the future? Let’s do something about it.” His conclusion & rationalisation will tell you that “it really doesn’t make any difference what we know about these problems if we don’t do anything about it.”

The crux of the matter is that truth will not set us free unless we do something positively about it. As I often say, to grow to progress is to change. All must stretch forth & strike where it counts. In today’s society with modern mass communication, speedy, effective & far reaching, action does not necessarily rest with physical muscles, guns or weapons.

Whatever the misgivings, public opinion must be held in the right perspective, then change can evolve through people’s power. To achieve success, all you need do is to convince people to your cause for struggle as dying for the cause of your country.

The biggest hurdle towards change in America is that the power of control rests with the Mighty Seven. They control the population through all the major mass media, organisations & power centres. From out of the blue, have you ever wondered “How did this guy get to be President?” Don’t be surprised that a lot of happenings are pre-planned decades ahead of time. Happenings don’t just happened!

Time & space do not allow me to dwell at length on the “how to change” or to deliver fully about the Federal Reserve System, that it’s not federal, there is no reserve and it’s not even a bank. Much has been written by G. Edward Griffin as mentioned in his books in the Related reading list below. I hope I have aroused your curiosity & interest to want to read further on this subject.

I bet you’ll say “Wow! Wow!” when you hear this staggering statistic – these Mighty Seven Families which form 1 per cent of the world’s population but own 60 per cent of the world’s wealth!

What You Don’t Know About George Soros

By P Chong                                                                                        Sun. 17 Oct. 2010

According to Wikipedia, George Soros born August 12, 1930, as Schwartz György is a Hungarian-American currency speculator, stock investor, businessman, philanthropist, and liberal political activist. He became known as “the Man Who Broke the Bank of England” after he made a reported $1 billion during the 1992 Black Wednesday UK currency crises.

Soros is chairman of Soros Fund Management and the Open Society Institute and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Council on Foreign Relations. He played a significant role in the peaceful transition from Communism to Capitalism in Hungary (1984–89), and provided Europe’s largest-ever higher education endowment to Central European University in Budapest. Later, his funding and organisation of Georgia‘s Rose Revolution was considered by Russian and Western observers to have been crucial to its success. In the United States, he is known for donating large sums of money in an effort to defeat President George W. Bush‘s bid for re-election in 2004. He helped found the Center for American Progress.

George Soros has made his mark as an enormously successful speculator, wise enough to largely withdraw when still way ahead of the game. The bulk of his enormous winnings is now devoted to encouraging transitional and emerging nations to become ‘open societies,’ open not only in the sense of freedom of commerce but – more important – tolerant of new ideas and different modes of thinking and behaviour”.

GEORGE SOROS, railway porter-turned-billionaire financier, has been a prominent international supporter of democratic ideals and causes for more than 30 years. He has delivered a stark warning that the financial world is on the wrong track and that we may be hurtling towards an even bigger boom and bust than in the credit crisis. His good sides are well documented, but what about his seedy sides?

Here are some very little known facts about Soros:

  • He’s held as a philanthropist and a saviour of the world by his zombies. Maybe they too, like Obama maniacs, will break the evil spell they are under.
  • Calvina Fay of the Drug Free America Foundation declared billionaire George Soros to be an “extremely evil person” who wants to legalise dangerous mind-altering drugs. Fay said that Soros, an atheist who is a major funder of the Democratic Party and liberal-left causes, is “our common enemy” and that he is determined to subvert traditional values and undermine America’s families.
  • Soros seems like a nice old man. Soros has been called a hypocrite for wanting the rich to pay more to help the poor but he evades paying taxes. Watch here how angry he gets when the interviewer asks about his other businesses he avoids paying taxes on.
  • Leave him alone! He’s just an old man. Yeah, right. That’s what they said about Nazi Adolf Eichmann when Israel’s Mossad captured him. As you probably are not aware, Soros is a Jew but not a practising one. He is an atheist whose real name is Schwartz. Soros is an admitted Nazi collaborator who betrayed his own Jewish people to Adolph Eichmann himself. He just told them he was a Christian and helped the fascists also capture the Jew’s wealth.
  • Dr. James David Manning, PhD says George Soros was in control of Barack Hussein Obama.
  • Soros is just a crook. He is a felon. He was convicted in 2002 for insider trading in France.
  • He’s the modern day Robin Hood. He’s predicting the sinking ship of the Democrats come November & would leave it to keep himself afloat.

On YouTube you’ll find a whole series of video clips that would provide you with further negative information about this devious character of a man. You can best start off with “Prometheus: the Mysterious Mr. Soros”.

It is said that with the long arm of the law,

You can run but you cannot hide”.

Obama: His Eligibility As President Questioned

By P Chong                                                                         Fri. 15 Oct. 2010

Obama taking oaths as the 44th President of USA

Constitutional Provisions:

Section 1 of Article Two of the United States Constitution sets forth the eligibility requirements for serving as President of the United States:

“No person except anatural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”

Following Ronald Reagan, the film star who rose to be President of theUnited States of American, star like Arnold Schwarzenegger, an Austrian-American, currently serving as the 38th Governor of California will have no hope of becoming like Reagan if the present constitution stands as it is.

It looks to me that Barack Hussein Obama is a foreign “import”all the way from Kenya,a less developed country, in the hope of bringing about a mental revolution by someone, virtually unknown who advocated “change” on his election platform. How he ever get to avoid, evade, cover & hide the issue of being a “natural born citizen” is anybody’s guess & wonder! In US if you can beat the law, everything is legal.

Barack Hussein Obama’s ‘Certification of Live Birth‘ form reveals his Birth Registration was FILED in 1961 but was never fully ACCEPTED by the Hawaiian State Registrar’s Office which is covering this up for political reasons to protect Obama. Give mounting evidence that Obama was not physically born in Hawaii, Obama only stands in time to be committing Misprision of Felony.

This is a national disgrace for the Americans that the entire system of laws including the Constitution and all legal records are being subverted and subordinated to cover up for Obama’s continued fraud on the nation as to his true legal identity. What is so important about this one man that Hawaii is willing to see the nation destroyed by his corruption and lies from birth by his family and continued on all his life by Obama. The man is nothing but a grifter and conman.

As for AKA Obama’s birth in Kenya we hear this from attorney Mario Apuzzo “We have not heard from one international, federal, state, or local police or security agency that Obama’s birth place has been officially confirmed.”

Here’s a spot of suspicion & conspiration. In the investigator’s affidavit dated October 30, 2008, that was filed with a Federal District Court in the case of Berg v. Obama, O8-cv-04083: Obama’s step-grandmother,Sarah Obama, told Bishop McRae, who was in the United States, during a telephonic interview on October 12, 2008, while she was in her home located in Alego-Kogello, Kenya, that was full of security police and people and family who were celebrating then-Senator Obama’s success story, that she witnessed Obama’s birth in Kenya, not the United States. She was adamant about this fact not once but twice. The conversation which was placed on speaker phone was translated into English by “Kweli Shuhubia” and one of the grandmother’s grandsons who were present with the grandmother in the house. After the grandmother made the same statement twice her grandson intervened, saying “No, No, No, He was born in the United States.”

During the interview, the grandmother never changed her reply that she was present when Obama was born in Kenya. The fact that later in the same interview she changed her statement to say that Obama was born in Hawaii does not change the fact that she at first stated twice that she was present when Obama was born in Kenya.

According to report, it is alleged that the Kenyan government authorities have refused to cooperate and have thwarted all efforts by anyone to obtain any documents concerning Obama.

The Kenyan officials are declaring Obama’s birth as “top secret”. With Hawaiian government further covering up his Certification of Live Birth only give cause for suspicion that some sort of political conspiracy is at play. Ultimately, the crux of the legal straw can only lead to the breaking of Obama’s back.

It’s been said that whatever the President does is strictly legal. However enough is enough. The American people has the right to know whether their 44th President is eligible and constitutionally legal to be their Chief Commander.

Away with hidden birth certificate & forged legal documents!

Bullfighting in Madrid

By P Chong                                         Wed. 13 Oct. 2010

It was Whitsun holiday in 1960 when a small group of us college students found ourselves touring through France, Spain & Portugal. We were fresh & young & eagerly looking forward to any new thrill & excitement to enrich our youthful experience. When in Madrid, the capital of Spain,we were attracted & drawn to their famous bullfight.

I remember it well & clear. It was a Sunday. Having obtained the tickets for the bullfight through an agent in the hotel, we made our way to the arena by way of jammed packed Metro, with standing room only & literarily squashed to the bones. However, we were willing to bear the discomfort for we really wanted to be part of this quintessential Spanish tradition at least once during our trip. We were told this was a special Sunday fight when the older matadors would be challenging a team of younger ones.

At the Plaza del Toros, the arena looks a lot like the Colosseum in Rome, and we were both struck by the make-up of the crowd jostling to get to the arena – old and young, men and women, rich and poor – the bullfight belongs to all, and is clearly as much a social event as a sporting spectacle.

The Spanish bullfight remains one of the most controversial forms of mass entertainment in the world. It is despised and revered in almost equal measure depending on whose opinion you seek. Yet this quintessential Spanish tradition is a traditional spectacle of Spain, Portugal, southern France and several Latin American countries, in which one or more bulls are ritually killed in a bullring as a public spectacle. It is often called a blood sport by its detractors but followers of the spectacle regard it as a fine art and not a sport as there are no elements of competition in the proceedings.

Supporters of bullfighting argue that it is a culturally important tradition and a fully developed art form on par with painting, dancing and music, while animal rights advocates hold that it is a blood sport resulting in the suffering of bulls and horses.

As it is in Spain today, this traditional spectacle is being endangered by the dwindling interest or a recent ban on the sport in Catalonia. ‘Bullfighting belongs to Spain and that will always be the case. The young are more interested in football & tennis.

It was to us an electrifying experience – a riot of colours, especially red and sound that set our senses on edge. Trumpets sounded, blood poured, crowd cheered & jeered . . . every move,. Every turn, every expression of the matador and their compatriots is designed to engaged the crowd. It is a blood sport and in many respects cruel . . . but seriously compelling & thrilling!

But what do you think?

Going To Church . . . Real & Unreal!

By P Chong                                          Sun. 10 October 2010

Church-going nation

Over the years, I have observed church-goers both in Malaysia & Australia without any clear line of demarcation. People are the same, to say the least, the world over, whether they are Christians or otherwise.

Generally, they fall into one or two categories as below:

1.          Those who go largely to socialise – to be seen & see.

2. They have preference only to be associated with a church where the rich &                             famous worship.

3.         They seek out & clamour for personal recognition & awards.

4.        The young are mainly looking for excitement.

The truth is, going to church every Sunday does not make one a Christian. It’s the heart that matters. As a good Christian, you are seen to be practising every aspect of Christianity . . . be Christ personified. Grace within grace without. Inward grace outward grace . . . inward disgrace outward disgrace. Nothing can ever be concealed.

The whole crux of the matter is your attitude & how you perceive about things. To elucidate this vital point, here’s a little illustration:

A minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon.

Four worms were placed into four separate jars.

The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.

The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.

The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.

The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil.

At the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following results:

The first worm in alcoholDead.

The second worm in cigarette smokeDead.

Third worm in chocolate syrupDead.

Fourth worm in good clean soilAlive.

So the Minister asked the congregation – What did you learn from this demonstration?

Maxine was sitting in the back, quickly raised her hand and said, ‘As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won’t have worms!’

Get real.

As long as you DO Not drink, smoke or eat chocolate, you will be much healthier and possibly live much longer.

Be A Genius Only After Death?

By P Chong                                                                                  Thurs. 7 October 2010

It often happened that the status of being a genius is only conferred on an artist, poet, writer, musician & composer long after their death.

Greatness is often acquired by being born great, some achieved greatness & still others have greatness thrust upon them. Whichever category that greatness comes about, there is always that element of luck in question.

What’s the whole point of suffering a lifetime & only to be recognised when one is no longer around?

In this 21st century, we find the phenomenon of paintings being sold at auctions for ridiculous prices, literary works being included in school curriculum globally or music being played in prestigious concert halls. Yet during the lifetime of these artists & “conferred” geniuses lived in abject poverty, or being ridiculed or insulted by the public & press media. True geniuses really do not seek out personal fame or fortune. To them it’s all a question of creativity – being able to express themselves for the greater benefits of the community. Sometimes personal glory is conferred out of immediate recognition by the public, while for most the best song & music become interred with their bones . . . only to be resurrected much later. Such is the nature of things & the irony of it all.

Vincent Van Gogh

One of the most recognised geniuses who suffered this fate is none other than Vincent Van Gogh, a Dutch artist, symbolically considered to be a

misunderstood genius. At the time when he was working as a dealer jn an art firm, he was able to make a decent living. However, after a sad love story, he quit his job and got into religion, where he got involved with missionary work. He soon lost that position as he was most fanatical & zealous about his pursuit.

He finally landed up in the art of painting. However, he was not understood in this area either. He only managed to sell only one piece of his work “Red Vineyards” and that was to his friend.

Today we know approximately 850 canvases by the artist, many drawings and engravings.
Once a cafe allowed Van Gogh to organise an exhibition and sell his paintings. Not a single painting was purchased. As a result, many of Van Gogh paintings were simply thrown away or given away to those who wanted to paint their new pictures on the canvas. Today his masterpieces hang in the most prominent museums; they are hunted after at auctions and stolen for private collections.

John Keats

John Keats, an English poet, one of the best lyricists  of the world literature, did not live up to its glory by just a few months. The young gifted poet was terminally ill with tuberculosis. During his short literary career, Keats did not hear a word of praise from serious critics, who shape public opinion. Keats died very young – at age of 25, and shortly after his death, his book of poems was published. It was so popular with readers that critics could only posthumously acknowledge his genius.

Arthur Rimbaud

Another poet who died young – Arthur Rimbaud – was more fortunate with the patronage of senior writers. The gifted young man was proclaimed the new Shakespeare and predicted brilliant glory. But Rimbaud gave up writing when many were only beginning – at the age of 20. He decided to become an explorer and gold producer. However, it did not work.

Rimbaud died at age 37, in a hospital, where he was regarded as a businessman. The cause of death was amputation of the leg, which adversely affected the overall health of the poet, undermined by travelling. After the death, poems of Rimbaud, as well as other poetry of the Symbolists who called himself “cursed poets” have gained popularity, and today Rimbaud has a strong place in the “golden fund” of the world poetry.

Geniuses are a dime a dozen

But to be conferred the status as such

Only posthumously is sad indeed.

Who Really Own the Federal Reserve?

By P Chong                                                                          Mon. 4 October 2010

On the surface, this would seem such a rather silly, stupid and pointless question. Why, the average person would say that the American people own it. Or to be more technical, the American Government, which being a Republic, owned by the people, would be the owner.

You would expect a country as great & powerful as the US to be its own master. But far from that expectation, its financial system is wrapped in an intrigue web of the Federal Reserve System that would leave you spellbound. The President appears to be no more a political puppet on a string.

As strange as it may seem, neither the people of US or the Government of US own the Federal Reserve or the American Dollar. The truth of the answer is most critical of the nation & to hundreds of millions or billions of people globally.

The actual US dollar has not existed since 1913, where it was effectively killed. What is now called the US dollar is actually a Federal Reserve Note, says it right at the top of each bill. Why does that matter?

First of all, a US dollar, as something before 1913, was an instrument of wealth. That piece of paper, or just as common a gold or silver coin, had actual worth, anywhere in the world. It was worth its weight in gold, be it actual gold or paper. A Reserve Note, on the other hand, is a debt instrument, which not only is not wealth but is the opposite of wealth. Its very existence is a sucking sound on wealth, wealth being transferred, in this case not to the poor masses (as defined by defunct and unworking Marxism) but to the top 1% (equally defunct and unworking, but its only now starting to go that way).

The Federal Reserve, unbeknownst to many outside the US and almost everyone in the US, is NOT a Federal, that is, government entity. It is about as governmental as Federal Express. In truth, it is a wholly private, untraded, and thus unsupervised, banking corporation, with a secret cabal of owners. One can assess some of those probable owners by those corporations/banks who were bailed out, while others were allowed to die.

Effectively, this private banking concern, the only one of its kind in the world, has the exclusive right to make the US dollar, or rather the Federal Reserve Notes (debt) called the US dollar, the one and only legal tender of America. Now, when the US government wants or needs money, it can not simply “have” money. Put aside the notions about not starting the printing presses and so on, the simple fact is, not only can the US government NOT coin currency, it can not just have it either. Remember, these are Reserve (debt) Notes.

So, when the US government wants money, the Treasury Department prints bonds (promissory notes aka debt obligations) and “sells” these to the Federal Reserve (private banking concern), which than “gives” the US government Federal Reserve Notes (tender). Thus the money the US government and thus in turn, the US people and all peoples and nations in the world who hold dollars (and why do you think they push these on the world so much?) are debt instruments owed to the Federal Reserve, by the holders. Thus, sooner or later you must return them, plus a percentage. Of course, to the Federal Reserve, the percentage is better.

Rarely has so brilliant and patient a Ponzi scheme been dreamed up than this.

And by exporting it overseas, they are sucking in the rest of the world’s finance, into their ever greedy, chubby and purely evil little hands. In the end within a short span of time, the Federal Reserve gets to own everything!

So, leaders of the world, why the bloody Hell, are you giving away the future of your peoples and nations to this tiny group of American parasites, who have already bleed the US dead dry, where the top 1% holds over 60% of that nation’s raw wealth?

You would expect that something like the Federal Reserve, which we’ve all been taught to believe is a government agency of some kind. You’d think that it would have been created in Washington, D.C. in some kind of a committee room. But no, it was on Jekyll Island back in 1910. Furthermore, I discovered that the island in those days was privately owned by a small group of billionaires from New York City. People like J. P. Morgan, William Rockefeller, and their business associates. It was a private social club called The Jekyll Island Club. This is where the families of these very wealthy people J. P. Morgan dynasty, the Rockefeller dynasty, Kuhn Loeb & Company of New York, the Rothschilds from Europe, and the Warburgs from Germany and the Netherlands met and represented at that meeting & where they went to spend the cold winter months. They got out of New York and went to Jekyll Island. They had some beautiful cottages there and they’re all there today, by the way – if anybody wants to go look at them. They’ve been preserved. Isn’t it strange that the Federal Reserve was created at a meeting on Jekyll Island and that the meeting was conducted under conditions of extreme secrecy. Very few wars of history were plotted under greater conditions of secrecy than this meeting. You know, when something’s done in secret, there’s usually something to hide.

All of the important things that we need to know about the Federal Reserve System could be traced to that meeting on Jekyll Island – and in terms of the things that they were trying to hide from public view. Now, what were those things? It’s hard to summarise this. First of all, we have to realise that the Federal Reserve was offered to the voters back in 1913 when it was actually passed into law. It was offered to the voters as a solution to a problem. The American people were deeply concerned in those days about the concentration of financial power into the hands of a small group of powerful banking and investment firms on Wall Street. In those days, they used to call that conglomeration the “money trust“. That was what you’d find when you dug into the newspapers of the period and looked in the editorial section.

You’d find a lot of editorials condemning the “money trust“. People knew that there was too much power in the hands of a few people, so there was a clamour for legislation which was supposed to break the grip of the money trust. And the Federal Reserve Act was offered as the solution to that problem. So, we start off with the assumption that the Federal Reserve Act was to put control of the monetary system and the banking system back into the hands of the people and to break the grip of the money trust. All right, the first thing they were trying to hide at that meeting was the fact that the Federal Reserve System was written BY the money trust. The people who attended that meeting were the epitome of the money trust. These were literally the wealthiest men in the world. When you added up the wealth which was controlled by the seven men who went to that meeting, in accordance with the estimates of the writers at that time they estimated that these people either controlled directly or indirectly through the banking firms that they represented, approximately one-fourth of the wealth of the entire world.

The Federal Reserve — the quasi-autonomous body that controls the US’s money supply — is one great “Ponzi Scheme” that created “bubble after bubble” in the US economy.

“It’s Not Illegal When the President Does It.” – Richard M. Nixon.

But “legality” is, after all, just a question of laws, as interpreted primarily by government lawyers. If the folks perpetrating the scheme have successfully penetrated the highest levels of government, than who’s to say what is illegal and what is merely “economics”?

I suppose in the end, it all comes down to physics. In physics, we can state categorically that there is no such thing as perpetual motion. Every self-contained system is confronted by little robberies of energy that will eventually cause it to grind to a halt.

Charles Ponzi mistakenly receives credit for inventing pyramid schemes of this nature. Back in 1920, he was ostensibly engaged in international reply coupon arbitrage. But with so many players interested in funding his gaming of the postal system, Ponzi soon abandoned any actual attempts to “invest” the incoming money in speculations of any type. Rather he simply began to pay off early participants with the cash he took from latecomers.

How can such a Ponzi Scheme still be in operation?

It beats me to the bone!

Karaoke Dinner Night Celebration

By P Chong                                                                     Sun. 3 October 2010

It’s a pity that celebration doesn’t last, no matter how joyous or jubilant. Our friend Tom, a retired engineer, bears a significant birthday which coincides with the National Day Celebration of the Peoples Republic of China. I thought we’ll give him a celebration that he won’t forget with the Roasted Suckling Pig as the big surprise. It was in a way to bid farewell to my two visiting sister-in-laws Anna & Jenny from Singapore & Malaysia after their month long stay as our guests, and last but not least, to welcome Michael our visiting “Singing Lawyer” cousin from Johore Bharu with his wife Lily.

As with our usual practice, it’s customary for the invited guests to bring along a dish to share. I must say there was a good array of delicious food display with every choice to satisfy the hungry stomach. Wow . . . the speed with which the roasted suckling pig disappeared from hand to mouth told me  too clearly that other dishes are of little compare.

13 Kg Roasted Suckling Pig

We were lucky to have the presence of Dr Yap Chin Fah, the “Singing Doctor” to render his expert hands in cutting up the 13 kg pig. Just look at the photos.

There was no shortage of Karaoke singers. Melody flowed . . . joy glowed . . . and we all had a wonderful time.

Some unfortunately couldn’t sing because of cough!
